Every year, thousands of kids send us their original stories.
We can’t adapt every one we receive, so we make sure to read and respond to every single story to tell the author just how creative they are!
That’s where you come in.
Through Story Love, our corporate volunteer program, your colleagues read awesome stories written by kids from around the world and write 30,000 inspiring notes back to kids each year. Your sponsorship ensures that our arts and literacy programming remains accessible to under-resourced schools and students across the US.
During an hour-long Story Love event—virtual or in-person— 20-100 volunteers come together to learn about our organization, read stories, and provide encouragement to kids. With as little as 2-3 weeks’ notice, we can set up an event for your team and take care of everything. Click here to watch a brief video about Story Love.
Event Options:
The Happy Hour - set up a meaningful time for your team to gather, laugh, and make a difference. With this option, volunteers will each have their own set of stories to read and be encouraged to share delightful details with the group.
The Team Builder - Incorporate a unique team-building aspect into your event by having participants work in small groups to read and respond to stories together, building camaraderie and connection in a format unlike any other.
The DIY - enable your colleagues to participate on their own time with recorded instructions and the ability to access stories remotely, and a designated facilitator to answer questions along the way.
