Story Pirates Education Programs
The Story Pirates have been working with schools across the country since 2004. We believe that desire drives learning, so all of our programs are designed to inspire creativity; ignite students' imaginations; and make learning more accessible, engaging, and effective. Most importantly, Story Pirates make learning fun and give kids permission to get weird!
“I'm blown away. The kids loved working on their stories and it was even fun for me to teach! This is perfect for boosting their confidence and really believing in themselves! ”
Story Pirates Changemakers grants free programs to select schools that demonstrate a need and strong interest in participating. Click here to learn more and be considered for participation in STORY QUEST, a hilarious audio adventure intended for 3rd and 4th-grade students that demonstrates narrative writing fundamentals for students in an unforgettable fashion. Some schools will even be selected to bring their entire student body to see Story Pirates live on stage at a premiere venue near them.
Story Quest is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature as well as funding from the California Arts Council, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, our corporate Story Love sponsors, and supporters like you!
The Story Creation Zone is a 45-minute school assembly program enables students to collectively write their own original story on the spot for the world-famous Story Pirates to bring to life! This fully improvised show teaches basic story writing concepts and prompts the audience to come up with original characters, settings, goals, and obstacles that are performed on the spot in hilarious Story Pirates style!
